The Signtronix Round Up

Louisiana Tigers

Congratulations to RM Lynn Schumacher! Lynn is the proud new RM in Baton Rouge. Roger Pelton said, “Lynn expects the Baton Rouge Region to be in the top ten regions from October thru the end of 2009. He has seven dealers selling right now, and they are off to a good start. He also expects that the Region will be a Top Five Performer in 2010. He is determined, motivated and has the knowledge to back up his goals. I wish Lynn the success he deserves.” Good luck in the debut of Baton Rouge, Lynn!

A big welcome to the new Dealers of the Louisiana Tigers! Walter Frick, Dave Devaney, D C Smith, Richard Carroll, Jason Van Buskirk, Lee Stolf and Mitch Rose are excited about the opportunities ahead and are already making progress toward the top of the charts. Lynn said, “I’ve got a great group, they are all talented and hard working.” Keep up the great work, Tigers!

Buffalo Destroyers

Hot news from the Buffalo Destroyers! RM Mark Woods welcomes new Dealer Arba Tucker! On her first full day in the field, she sold a Model 34 to receive her Icebreaker pin! Congratulations, Arba!

Robert Wheaton made some Destroyer magic when he sold three signs in one day! That’s what we call a hat trick for this talented guy! With his next sale, he will be on senior commission. Great job, Robert! Keep up the good work.

GreatPlains Drifters

The Great Plains Drifters are kicking it into high gear and plan on finishing the last quarter of the year off with a bang. Frank Kessler netted himself over 3300 in commissions, closing on a Model 48 with TWO Tri-Color EMC’s. Not resting on his laurels, Frank has already closed another Model 48 to a Paintball Business.

DM Tim Bailey has sold two contracts recently and is on a mission to complete the Lance P. Sijan Award. Good luck, Tim! Dale Hircock has rejoined his Signtronix family and is back on the road where he shines. He chimed in with an LED-40. He is showing signs of a sleeping giant ready to waken. Ron Sibbel is ready to pick up where he left off after a terrible car accident had him sidelined for over a month. He struck gold placing an 8ft Tri-Color EMC, netting him 1100. RM Larry King is excited about the progress of his talented team and knows the end of the year will be filled with Great Plains Drifter success!

The success continues for the Great Plains Drifters. Larry is proud of his Dealers and knows they won’t quit until they are #1!

SteelCity Eagles

It’s been a busy month for the Eagles. After a visit from RM Buddy Swisshelm, Kerry Batteau was off and running. Dave Scarf and Kerry helped an Equipment Rental Business with a new set of two-line Tri-Colors.

A referral sent Kerry and Steve Johnson to a Papa Murphy’s store for a set of Three Line Tri-Colors. Kerry said, “The great thing about this one is they have 14 other locations and this owner is the decision maker for all of them!”

Then it was another contract for Kerry and Dave Scarf to a Gourmet Cake Store, then back with Steve, it was Salon and Tanning Business.

Kerry and Steve called on a Convenience Store. THREE SETS of digitals and TWO lighted signs later, the owners were SUPER HAPPY and EXCITED about their new signs!

Kerry put it simply when he said, “Hard work and persistence pay off. It is not about the money, although that is a nice fringe benefit. Keeping the customer as your number one priority and your pocket secondary has always been a successful and fruitful way of life for me.”

New Dealer Brian McWhirter celebrated his Icebreaker with a contract to a Mexican Grocery Store. DM Frank Marzullo said, “Brian is a really talented guy and we will be hearing a lot of success stories from him!”

Stacey Elkins from the Signtronix Home Office sent Frank a lead for an Electric Company and, in no time, he was off and driving. After a three-hour drive, Frank wrote up the panel change and then took advantage of being on the road for the day. He didn’t have to look far to find a Hair Salon with an old, outdated sign. A Crystal-lite Model 46 with custom art is going to change the WHOLE face of the business.

Atlantic Cruisers

Atlantic Cruiser RM Gary Hoerlein is excited about his new team of independent Dealers! He was under the weather and only been able to PHONE COACH his new Dealers, Larry Griggs and Steve Deekan. These guys have proven to be great listeners.

Steve turned in two orders for ISLED-60 Combos. Larry did not want to be left out , so he produced paper work for a Model 36 custom Crystal-lite and TWO 3-line Tri-Color EMC’s, and, of course, the pole facade to make it complete! Gary and the Cruisers are looking for great things from these Professional Top Producers!

Arkansas Diamonds

Arkansas Diamond RM Howard Foy is proud of the newest Diamonds Keith Roberts, Pam Buffington, Marcia Conley and Julie Gleghorn. Howard said, “They are professional, smart, hard-working and really catching on fast.”

Julie was the first to get her icebreaker with an ISLED to a Video Store then an ISLED-60 at a Cosmetic Medical Office. Keith Roberts, got his Icebreaker by selling an ISLED-60 to young owners of a Coffee/Java House. Within days, he had his 2nd sale! Keith said, “Howard, I saw a Lube and Oil Business that needed help, so I stopped, built value and closed the sale by assuming it! I just made a little over 1300 by doing it correctly.”

New Dealer Marcia Conley got her Glacier-sized Icebreaker with an 8ft EMC and cashed a check for 1400. Her first full week in the field, she sold three contracts for over 5,000 in her pocket. What will she do next week?

DM Kirnan Lewis is busy helping Howard train new Dealers and in the meantime has placed three contracts. Kirnan sold his first pair of RGB’s while on a road trip in Missouri and pocketed over 6,000. He also placed a Model 58 Money Magnet, Model 38 and two EMC’s at a Real Estate Office. “Kirnan is back on top of his game and we’re so very proud of his accomplishments! The Diamonds wanted to finish the year strong and it appears they are on track to fulfill that goal.

Indiana Timberwolves

Ryan Henry made an unusual call to a Chrome Plating Business. The owner wasn’t interested in attracting more customers, but, instead, was interested in selling advertising space on his new 8ft 4-line Tri-color EMC to surrounding businesses. Nice call, Ryan. He also placed an ISLED-40 to a Tire Shop and an LED-40 to a Flower Shop.

Verlin Miller is committed to not only helping business owners increase their sales, but also helping other dealers become successful. He helps his teammates “stay on target.” He placed an IS-40 at a Hair Salon and an LED-40 at a Tattoo Shop.

“Wild Bill” Childers is determined to set an example for new Dealers. It’s simple to make the calls, follow the program and possess a helping attitude with the customer. Time management is also critical in our business. If that little voice in your head says, “You’re wasting your time”, 98% of the time, you’re doing just that. Trust that little voice and go find another business you can excite. The rest will take care of itself. Bill helped the owner of a Sports Shop with a Model 68 Crown and an Alteration Shop with an LED-60. Bruce Miller helped a Coin Shop and a Book Store with LED-60’s.

California Landsharks

DM Dan Stanley is tearing up the road this month! He truly CARES about his customers and makes lifelong friendships with each business he helps. Dan always shows the customer what he would buy himself if it was his business. The results are incredible sales with big volume. Dan sells everything in our product line and really lets the customer know that they are dealing with the best sign company in the nation! He brags on the caring and attentive Art Department, the Courteous and Professional Customer Service and the Knowledgable and Prompt Technical Department. He is proud to work with Signtronix and appreciates the great people in Sales Support. They quickly call him back with critical information he needs and their understanding of unique situations is incredible. Dan says, “THANK YOU!”

Although, we should be thanking Dan for the hundreds and thousands of dollars in business that he has personally sold in the last few months. The Landshark team is VERY PROUD of DM DAN STANLEY, the King of the SHARKS.

New Dealer Steve Libby is selling and moving up the ladder with four contracts under his belt. His DM, Mark Warneke, another seasoned professional, says he is really getting it. Mark is making his “mark” on the boards too and consistently turning in orders and showing the way.

Shawn Michaels is back from a road trip and turned in 16,000 of business. Shawn is getting closer to Senior dealer status. DM Tim Schomer, the #1 Dealer in August, couldn’t be more proud of this personal recruit.

Dallas/FortWorth Trailblazers

The Trailblazers are right in the middle of their Fall Classic 2009 contest and the sales ‘scores’ are coming in fast and furious. Out of the East, Keith Ives has taken a commanding lead over Tyler Derebery. With three contracts and 18 points in one week, Keith has a commanding lead… but Tyler is one of the Trailblazers capable of pulling out a victory! Also out of the East, is the always-powerful Alan King, who earned three contracts and 15 points by placing a Model 48, Model 412 and a Model 46. He also placed a Model 48 for another three points!

Things are heating up! Look out, Keith! Chris Griffith, out of the West, is on a nice run. While field training, he placed an ISLED-60 Combo for a FIVE point play. Will Welsh continues to have a tremendous road trip. He’s writing orders and scoring points and has his sights on the finals.

Out of the new and exciting Oklahoma City District, two new Dealers broke the ice with Model 48’s. Mike Mayfield and Bill Herron both wrote their first of many orders. The other three new Dealers who finished class; Klint Wieden, Rick Fagan and Joanie Powers are all out in the field making it happen.

In Fort Worth, Nick Trevino also broke the ice with an LED-40! This is definitely the first of many for Nick.

St. Louis RoadWarriors

Everyone banded together for the ‘back to school month’ of September. Back to school in Signtronix means getting back to the basics of what has made us a #1 region. RM Jeff Dean said, “Much of our success is from making our families a priority.”

Ron and Stephanie English doubled up for the month and got Rainee and Grayson back to school just fine. Daughter of the RM’s, Tzofia Keshet broke the ice with her first day in preschool. Leora Tova is taking good care of Shelley and her new baby sister.

Tim McNeal had his hands full with nine kids going in all different directions, complete with home schooling from the amazing Liz McNeal. Their daughter, Elizabeth, is on the Navajo Indian Reservation on a mission. Ron and Maria Gither got a hat trick this month, three kids in three different schools. Josh is a Hoover Buck, Noah is at Deer Valley in kindergarden and Breanna broke the ice in the junior honor society at her school with straight A’s so far.

Don and Wendy Meissner are in a new house with their kids, Gideon and Elanna, who are both in a new school. Thomm Morgan is taking care of his kids, one home on a mission, one in a last year of high school, and also walked for over 24 hours non-stop as part of a charity event he created.

Josh and Tiffany Bollinger are expecting soon and their daughter, Ava, is super excited. Scott Bowman, Jim Kowalczyk, Bob Byrne, Jon McOwen, Mike Benjamin, Gerald Brendel and Seth McNeal are all taking care of grandkids, each other, or grandparents. Thank you, Signtronix for allowing us to place our families so high on the priority lists. It’s all about balance.

All in all, the Road Warriors wrote over 100,000 in Volume during their Back to Basics month.

Carolina Panthers

DM Bill Bennetti leads the Panthers and the whole Southeast in contracts! Bill works with one of his Dealers everyday in the field and it always pays off. He also wrote seven contracts in two weeks in front of new Dealers. Roger Paul picked up a ton in commissions on his way to Ray Clark’s payoff in Florida. Roger has done a wonderful job placing two locations in front of two different new Dealers. He is doing a great job.

Scott Leatherwood placed some great locations when working with a new Dealer as well. Tami Vote broke the ice in her hometown! She went to the City Code Office, got the okay from them and much more. The head city official told her he would give her the names of all new businesses in the city!

RM Paul Shawley said, “I am so proud of Sam Casey! He’s fighting health problems, but still working, even though he does not feel like it. God bless you, Sam! We love you and are keeping you in our prayers. Special thanks to a real trooper, Beth Shawley! She works at home and at the office, and she is a tremendous support to our Dealers. Terrific work, Panthers!

Knoxville Region

New Dealers Brenda and Perry Olivera completed training in Knoxville. They started the week with FIVE lite-ups on Monday, followed with the proper activity on Tuesday and placed a beautiful ISLED-60! This dynamic brother and sister team earned just shy of 1,000 on their Icebreaker.

Without missing a beat, they placed their SECOND and THIRD ISLED-60’s! That’s TWO days, THREE locations and almost 3,000 in commissions!

Brenda and Perry spent a day in the field with RM Connie Johnson and Lee Andrews. In fact, Connie went the extra mile of getting SIX lite-ups and placing a nice LED-60 on, you guessed it, the 6th lite-up of the day. Excellent job of the “Monkey See, Monkey Do” principle, Connie and Lee!

Lee Andrews placed an awesome Model 48 with two 6ft EMC’s. It’s his great attitude and the willingness to assist other Dealers that make Lee a champion!

Amber Cinnamon placed an LED-60. Amber’s positive outlook, professional demeanor, contagious smile and strong work ethic are taking her to the next level. Thanks to Sarah Andrews for the wonderful classroom training and guidance she provides. We couldn’t do it without you, Sarah. Rick Rossetti has been very influencial in getting Knoxville up and running. He has spent numerous hours training and recruiting. His hard work has definitely paid off!

Pocono Mountaineers

Patience is key in our business; RM Denny Giacobe knows that all too well. He had the WORST day of his sales career. During a routine day, a routine 24-call sheet, a routine call, Denny met the owner of an Auto Repair Business who despised ‘salesmen’. Denny was determined to change this guy’s negativity and perception of ‘salesmen’. Although VERY frustrated, Denny stuck with it for two reasons. First, Denny doesn’t give up. Second, the owner NEEDED this sign and Denny knew the business would greatly benefit from it.

Over and over, Denny said to himself, “I don’t need the money this bad. I could just walk out of here right now.” But, he kept at it and wouldn’t give up just because it was hard. The owner knew he needed the sign. Denny knew he needed the sign. So, it went on. It was 10:00am when Denny arrived at the Auto Repair Business, and well into the afternoon when he made it out of there with a completed contract! For trying his patience and surviving, Denny earned 918! Now that is patience and determination! We all have rough days, but take a tip from Denny… “It may be hard, but in the end, it’s worth it.”

Copper State CoolRays

Michael Whalen is now sporting a stylish Icebreaker pin! He sold a Model 36 and an LED-40 to a Pawn Shop. This is only the first of many trips to the bank for Michael.

Tracy Riha placed a Model 58 and said, “There are lots of our signs in the area, it’s like Signtronix Row! Now we have one more sign to add to the row. Not to mention, it was a nice payday as well. Tracy is on an extended road trip and plans to have many more to follow. Way to go, Tracy!

Recently promoted senior Dealer Chris Almonte found a great location. A brand new LED-60 is on its way to Texas! He also placed a double with a Model 46 and TWO 6ft EMC’s in one day. Great job out there, Chris! There is no stopping the Cool Rays.

Tulsa Oilers

Tulsa Oiler RM Richard Houston just completed his SEVENTH SIJAN AWARD! Yes, that means in 23 days, he sold 16 contracts! The journey wouldn’t be complete without some obstacles. Richard actually started his Sijan journey earlier last month, but was knocked out with the flu for over a week. Without a second thought, as soon as he was able, Richard went back to work and started the Sijan over again with great success!

That wasn’t his only obstacle, for we know that any worthwhile destination will have roadblocks. He lost his phone and wallet! After an honest person returned BOTH his wallet and his phone, Richard was back in action. He wrote a contract on Friday, another Saturday and because he wasn’t able to do his two lite-ups on Wednesday, he worked Sunday as well. Wouldn’t you know, with almost all the businesses in this town closed on a Sunday, Richard found ONE open and wrote a contract!

The moral of the story is, DON’T GIVE UP! Richard was determined to accomplish his goal and DIDN’T GIVE UP, even with a lot of obstacles to overcome. For the 23 days of this Sijan journey, Richard sold a little over 80,000 in Volume! This was truly a great tribute to Lance P. Sijan. We can’t wait to hear about your next Sijan journey, Richard.

This year’s Sunshine Division Meeting in St. Augustine, Florida was a great success. Congratulations, winners!

Ray Clark spoke about dressing professional, keeping a positive attitude and related the “Verizon Network” to our incredible support team locally and nationally.

Taylor spoke about keeping the business fun and in the importance of keeping track of your numbers. Roger Paul said, “When I have a heckler, I say, ‘Do you have any money invested in this business?’ He then turns to the owner and asks, ‘Are you going to take advice from someone who doesn’t have a dime invested in this business?”

Craig Jarrett, Bill Bennetti, Dave Rich and Richie Hahn all gave meaningful and motivating speeches as well. Until next year!

Signtronix Lance P. Sijan Award Winners

Sijan Wings

Fly Higher and Soar Faster

RM Richard Houston is known for his persistence and determination when it comes to the Lance P. Sijan Award. This time around it’s no different. Richard made sacrifices and pushed himself to new limits to complete his SEVENTH Sijan Award. He is the one person at Signtronix who has completed five back-to-back Sijan Awards and now stands alone with seven Sijan Awards earned! Congratulations, Richard, on another journey completed!

There are only 25 names on this page of winners. That tells you the requirements for the award are stringent and the task is daunting. If this journey was easy to complete, we would have hundreds of names listed. Because we have these 25 names, it tells us that it CAN be done, but it takes courage, commitment and the strength of character to surrender to the challenge. Whether it’s your first Sijan or your seventh, give this journey your all!

You have nothing to gain by cheating yourself out of lite-ups and sales. Participating in the Sijan experience only brings you closer to your goals, both professionally and personally. Like Lance P.Sijan, you can have the will and spirit to prevail.

Test your limits. See what YOU can accomplish. Go for it!

Signtronix Lady Of The Month

Peggy Gigax

A rare gem from Kansas, Peggy Gigax is a unique example of kindness, love and genuine goodness. She was born the third of four children on New Year’s Day. No matter where Peggy is, Kansas, Tennessee or traveling the world, her hands are always busy working, helping, caring and loving.

Peggy met the man she would marry at a grocery store. “No, it wasn’t the bump your cart into each other, ‘Oh, is that my bread in your basket’, pick-up kind of thing.” Bill Gigax was the store manager and beautiful Peggy was a store clerk. After a brief distraction of wanting to date her friend, another store clerk, Bill knew Peggy was the perfect girl for him. They were married a year and a half later on December 23rd. This year will mark 30 years since they said, “I do.”

Currently, Peggy is an attendance clerk for the elementary school and loves working with children and learning from them. In the past, she has taught pre-school and was very active with the youth programs at their church. Peggy was instrumental in starting a Wednesday youth program that continues today. When she is not working or reading, Peggy’s busy hands are making jewelry, beading, scrap booking or knitting hats for charity. She recently led a team in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Her kindness and generosity never ends.

After 30 years and three amazing children, Peggy’s family continues to grow as their two daughters got married in the last two years. Jason, 29, is heavily involved in the music industry. Megan, 25, is a familiar name around Signtronix. She worked for Bill while taking a break from nursing school. Megan is enjoying her new life with Dean as newlyweds. Maci, 22, is married to Jason Ashworth and works for GEHL Machinery in Nashville. Maci and Jason are both very active in their church and help to run the youth group there. Like mother, like daughter! Peggy said, “Bill and I are very proud of all our kids.”

In addition to the children, their dogs keep them on their toes. Jackson and Onyx are at the house with them, and they also have “grand puppies” Bella and Fletch that grab Peggy’s attention. “Bill says we need a grandchild so I quit going nuts over the dogs!”

Bill started in the sign industry the week of Megan’s first birthday. Rick Rossetti hired Bill to work for him at another company. Ten years later, the company folded and the door to Signtronix was opened. Peggy said, “We really found a ‘family’ business that cared about its people and were there to help us achieve our dreams. Even when Bill had health issues six years ago, Signtronix was still there for us. They helped him come back from that and I can’t say that I have ever felt the compassion from a company more than I did when they showed they really cared about us and our family during that time.”

Peggy, your upbeat and positive attitude is great example and a key ingredient to the success of Bill and the entire company. We thank you for your never ending will to help others while continually making this world a better place. It’s an honor to call you the Signtronix Lady of the Month.

The Signtronix Round Up

Colorado Cougars

The Colorado Cougars made a record showing at the recent Denver meeting with 23 people! The entire Region is quickly learning and experiencing the new products and new samples.

Utah Hawks RM Al Borgers has been field training with RM Brian Kornuth’s Cougars and loving every minute of it. With a new recruit in tow, Al made his way to a SMALL town in Kansas. Only eight of the town’s twenty businesses were still in open. Al went to work! They sold a double-faced Model 45 for 400 in commissions and a double-faced Model 420 the following day! Another 2,000 commission in a town of only eight surviving businesses! They made their last call (eight out of eight) and the owner exclaimed with great enthusiasm, “Our new signs just arrived!” A Dealer came through town a couple weeks ago and placed a nice Panel Change for their Model 34. The owners put up the panels with Al and his new recruit standing by. Al was so happy with their progress in this small town. He said, “Can you imagine, three out of eight total businesses have Signtronix signs? Brian Kornuth always says, “The tiny towns are filled with treasure. Go out and hunt it down.”

Indiana Timberwolves

DM Bob Hollen led the way for the Timberwolves. He placed contracts at numerous businesses including an IS-40 face panel at a Pizza Parlor, an LED-40 for an Antique Business, LED’s and EMC’s at three Restaurants, a Home Decorating Business and EMC’s for a Popcorn and Snack Shop. Bob also placed his first LED-60C at an Automotive Repair Shop. As you can tell, Bob is willing to help any kind of business succeed! Great going, Bob!

DM Bill Childers made way for the new Tri-Color samples. He placed three LED-40s and two ISLED-40s. While new Dealer Jeff Daugherty was training with Bill, his tooth broke in half! He went to the hospital and got it patched, then went to the dentist and had a root canal performed the next morning. The same afternoon, he placed a Restaurant with an ISLED-40! Now, that’s determination! He followed it with two LED-40 samples! We’ll be hearing plenty more from this new Cub. Bruce Miller helped two businesses with LED-40 samples and then sold two more LED-40s!

DM Keith Hudson loves those outdoor tri-color EMC’s. A Drive-In awaits it’s two-line 8ft EMC. A bustling Hot Dog Shack is going to sell double the hot dogs with their double faced 8ft EMC’s. Allan Jones helped a Guitar Store with an LED-40 sample. After a few personal problems, Greg Thomas is back in action and experiencing success.

The Timberwolves welcome new Dealer Rod Hauser to the den. RM Dave Grosmann said, “Rod has put in more time practicing than anyone else we’ve had join us in some time. We have no doubt that it will pay off!”

Atlanta Bulldogs

”The AWESOME Atlanta meeting, new products and programs gave the Bulldogs a huge BOOST! DM Jamie Scott, Marvin Paige, Carlton Oswalt and Craig Jarrett all sold their old samples on the road the first week and David Smith sold three samples!

New dealer Joseph Narcisse got his ICEBREAKER from selling his sample on the road! Along with the sample selling madness, David Smith followed a factory lead and placed a beautiful Model 38 and an LED-40 to a Family Optical Center. Thanks, Stacey!

The team was joined by their great friend and mentor, Rick Rossetti, who motivated the whole group. Georgia Golden Eagle RM Joel Froeschle also helped by working in the field with the Dawgs and showing them how to follow the proven program.

In one week, Marvin Paige sold THREE contracts including TWO NEW MONEY MAGNETS and TWO LED-40s. Taylor added an LED-60 combo with 1400 overage and an LED-40 to a Jewelry Store.

Following Marvin’s lead, DM Jamie Scott also placed THREE locations in a week, including a Model 34, an LED-40C Combo and a Model 36 Money Magnet! Carlton Oswalt made three the magic number placing THREE locations, including a Model 46 Southwest , an LED-60C and an LED-60C. Craig Jarrett also placed THREE locations… all three were LED-40C’s.Tanisha Sanders got her ICEBREAKER while working in the field with Jamie! She place an LED-40C to a Shoe Store.

On are recent Dawg road trip, everyone made a commitment to NOT return to the hotel UNTIL they had FIVE LITE-UPS, no matter what! Everyone followed through and the results spoke for themselves. Jenny and Taylor Hall said, “We are very proud of our amazing team. GO Dawgs!”

Steel City Eagles

The Eagles recently enjoyed a nice Region contest pay off trip together. They work hard, but play even harder. “Thanks, Buddy!”

Frank Marzullo has been front page news and continues to be a sales superstar. He leads by example throwing up huge numbers each month! DM Brad Whistler has been leading his District like a champ. He’s so proud of his team.

Roman Mitchell and Kerry Batteau placed a Model 46 and a Model 68 recently. David Howard left a Wall Covering Store with a contract for TWO 8ft THREE-LINE EMC’s and an Indoor LED-40 Tri-Color! Great job!

Billy Runyan and Mark Gowan were out together using their new-found resources, Money Magnets! They placed a double-sided Model 46 Money Magnet… AT RETAIL!!! To go with that killer contract, they also placed a 60” Indoor Tri-Color, a double-sided Model 38 Money Magnet and a single-faced Model 38 Money Magnet! Pretty soon there won’t be a business without one. Mark and Billy said, “Thank you, Signtronix, for making and providing products that help ALL customers.

Regional Trainer Jason Kennedy was referred to a small Bar that had just had a fire. The fire had melted the panels of his sign. A new set of Model 46 Signtronix panels are being sent to fill the space of history where the EYCOM panels had been hanging.

Lone Star Rhinos

The Lone Star Rhinos loved the Dallas meeting! Tom DeGroot’s speech was outstanding. His 30+ years of direct sales experience he shared was priceless. Thanks, Tom. Roger Pelton said, “I got great feedback from Tom’s speech. I really enjoyed it! It should’ve been longer, we could have listened all day.” Tom Johnson said, “It was so motivational. We have our own Zig Ziglar, only younger and better looking!”

The Rhinos are excited about the new program and the fantastic new products introduced in Dallas. RM Carmen Rodriguez said, “We are ready to rock-n-roll and are planning on finishing the year with great results. Thank you, Rhinos, for the great month of September.” New Dealer Bernadette Moya is very excited about the opportunity with Signtronix. Welcome, Bernadette!

Texas Trailblazers

New Trailblazer, Keith Ives, wasted no time after writing his icebreaker contract. He wrote THREE orders in the two weeks following his fantastic start. Keep it up, Keith!

Another Trailblazer is fresh out of class. David Fogart sold TWO orders his first week. Great job, David! Chris Griffith is helping with the Texas heat by writing FIVE contracts in FIVE days! He’s on fire and it doesn’t look like he’s putting the flame out anytime soon. In addition to great sales numbers, Chris’ speech in Dallas was incredible! Roger Pelton said, “Chris was very impressive with his planning and his ability to work his plan and produce wonderful results!”

Close behind Chris is Jared Castillo. He’s riding the heat wave with FOUR contracts in FIVE days. Nice job, Jared! Will Welsh is doing his part for the Trailblazer Region. He added two more contracts to the bursting Trailblazer totals.

Alan King, the Trailblazer motivator, is quickly approaching MEXICO QUALIFICATIONS! With his constant efforts to be the best, he should hit the Nuevo Vallarta mark very soon! Keep it up, Alan. You can do it! Steve Harms continues to be consistent. He is a great field trainer and writes orders every week!

Carolina Panthers

Scott Leatherwood is the Carolina Panther’s new hero with his second order after working with DM Bill Bennetti. Howard Naylor won a 50 gas card as well as Roger Paul.

Bill caught a flu bug and didn’t want to work, didn’t have to work, didn’t need to work. He had a 103 degree temperature and, with Panther Pride, went out for FOUR days in a row and wrote FOUR contracts! Now, that’s a true champion! Get better, Bill.

Panther Pride got the best of Phillip Davis as well. He had shoulder surgery and could barely lift the sample and STILL went out in the field and placed a location putting 900 in his pocket. RM Paul Shawley said, “Another true champion in my book!”

The Panthers are looking forward to hosting the Nitty Gritty Sales Clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 7th, 2008. This is a roll up your sleeves and learn our business seminar. They will discuss and teach about everything from hitting doors to closing difficult deals. Panther Pride will be alive and well there… come and experience it for yourself!

Pocono Mountaineers

It was superb service all around for Denny Giacobe’s customers. Denny is a true ‘sign guy’. He returned to help the owner of his first delivered 4 line tri-color EMC program his computer and get the best results from his new and exciting sign. Denny said, “The best part was that it delivered two weeks to the day of signing the contract! The people at the home office do a fantastic job!”

Great Plains Drifters

Tim Bailey is on fire since the meeting in Dallas. He is so excited that he doesn’t think he is going to go home! In two days, he placed a Model 46 Arch, an ISLED-60 Combo and new Panels for a Model 38 that was a Beauty Shop. When he arrived at the “Beauty Shop”, he found nothing more than a Car Lot! Tim was happy to save the day! Keep the fire lighted, Tim!

Carolina SwampFox

RM of the Carolina Swamp Fox Region, Wes Shealy is ecstatic about the new addition to his team! New Dealer Raphael Johnson finished classroom training and joined Wes in the field for some great sales experience. After a day filled with learning, Raphael continued on his own, looking for some ice to break. After 7:00pm (Raphael wasn’t about to end his day at 5:00pm), he visited a Daycare Center and got his 1st lite-up! With phone help from TAP Rep Paula Smith, Raphael crushed through the ice and wrote his first contract. A beautiful Model 34 with custom gave Raphael 565 to add to his bank account! Congratulations, Raphael!

Wes said, “Raphael comes prepared in every way. He spent a lot of time learning and perfecting his presentation. It’s no surprise he sold his first lite-up. We are very excited to have him on our team and expect great things to come from this Swamp Fox!”

California Landsharks

New Landsharks are hitting the water and starting a feeding frenzy. Peter Gomez, personal recruit of DM Tim Schomer, is starting to surf the waves of business and extracting sale after sale. Peter is a hard working man that will not be denied! Peter racked up THREE in a row with the new Tri-Color indoor units.

New Dealer Lou Cisneros broke the ice with his first sale of TWO LED-60C’s. Love that Tri-Color! Another new Dealer, Jeff Thompson, took his training to the streets and promptly closed an ISLED-60C combo and put 758 in his pocket! He went out and closed another LED-60C a day later. Look out, this Landshark has big goals and he’s not afraid to work hard to reach them!

Joe Avila won his Two Grand-A-Week watch. Welcome to the club, Joe. He also loves the new overage program and is definitely taking advantage.

Tony Shumaker is a great field trainer. He got together with new Dealer, Norm Hagemann, and showed him TWO sales in TWO days! Tim Schomer is loving the 2040-3 RGB outdoor unit! He placed one to an Advertising Agency that knows exactly what to do with it. Then he turned around and placed another RGB along with a Model 58.

Dan Stanley’s mom has been very ill but is now in a stable condition. Dan has been in Michigan with her and selling as he goes. Benee is on the road with him and is a “MOBILE TAP”. They were both at the Indianapolis meeting and loved it. Joe Deutsch is still placing locations and building steam for ROCKTOBER.

DM Ron MacLachlan went to the Denver conference and saw a lot of old friends and was inspired by Kozy Boren and Vernie Boren. The future looks very bright indeed!

Michigan Beacons

New Michigan Beacon, Phil Love, has taken Michigan by storm. He sold two contracts his first week and hasn’t stopped since. He’s making great progress. Also, there are rumors that Phil is going for the coveted Lance P. Sijan Award… GOOD LUCK! We are all with you to help you on the amazing Sijan journey. Keep motivated and go for the lite-ups!

Congratulations to RM Jonathan Imberi who just earned the Century Club Award by making 100 lite-ups in 30 days. Nice job, Jonathan. We’re PROUD of you!

Tulsa Oilers

RM Richard Houston has been on the road and and doesn’t know when he’ll be home. In 26 working days he sold 19 contracts! He’s on a role, watch out!

Richard placed an LED-40 Sample to a Napa Auto Parts, a Model 44 with custom art to a Hair Salon, an LED-40C to a Hunting Supply Store, a Model 38 non-lit Money Magnet to a Confectionary Store, an LED-40C to a Spa and Tanning Business, a fantastic 2-line 8ft RG EMC to a BBQ Restaurant and Casino, a Model 34 to a Quilt Store and a Model 46 Arch to another Quilt Store. What a whirlwind!

Richard wanted to point out that ALL of these contracts were in SMALL towns. The little businesses are the gold and Richard is a master of mining lately! At last tally, he was almost at 40,000 in Volume for the month of October…wait until the 31st for final results! Richard is keeping up his pace and earned his bonus sign by the 13th of October.

New Mexico Roadrunners

September was an exciting month for the New Mexico Roadrunners. Three of our Roadrunners, Ira Stockton, Darrell Richards and Matthew Taibbi, made the trek to the Dallas meeting to be inspired with the newest products! Thanks to Roger Pelton and Tom Johnson for a very well-done and professional meeting.

While in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Andrew and Ali Howe greatly benefited by spending a day in Lance Pelton’s office. Thanks Lance!

While Ali was a travelling TAP Rep, Andrew took the opportunity to work along with Michael Wolff, RM of the Phoenix Birds of Sun, and they placed a couple of showcase locations.

September was also a month of visitors for field training, camaraderie and excitement. Yvonne Leavitt and Duane Withers from the Utah Region were instrumental in field training and building excitement about the wonderful opportunities with Signtronix. Yvonne Leavitt showed how the one-call-close can put money in our pocket immediately and how to start each day with a clean slate. Yvonne worked diligently all month up to the last day to earn her maximum free sign bonus! Congratulations, Yvonne, and thanks for all of your encouragement.

We also had visits from Texas – Corey Splonick of the Lone Star Rhinos, a great advocate of the TAP Program; and another loyal supporter of the TAP Team, Rick Castillo of the Florida Alligators stopped in.

To anyone travelling along I-40 or I-25, remember the New Mexico Regional Door is Always Open in Albuquerque.

New England Novas

RM Milton Mannix and DM Roland Dumont, Jr. would like to say, “Congratulations to new Dealer Brandon Lamoureux on getting his icebreaker. He placed a new 60 inch window sign to the Italian Bread Box. He earned 100 on top of his commissions for winning Milt’s mini contest. He also won 30 for his gas tank for being the 1st dealer to call Milt with three lite-ups on contest day! Both Milt and Roland want Brandon to know, “We’re proud of your effort and are looking forward to great success in the future.” Nice job, Brandon. Welcome aboard!

Wisconson Wizards

RM Tony McGuire has been out and about around the country making success happen at every turn. Recently, he has been visiting RM Jeff Dean’s mighty St. Louis Road Warriors and helping with some field training. Tony loves the field and he loves helping people succeed. Is there a better combination? Tony said, “I’m having a blast with Jeff Dean’s guys!”

Tony’s philosophy is easy… REFERRALS LEAD TO CONTRACTS! The last FIVE contracts Tony wrote have been from referrals. There is no easier way to write a contract than to start with a referral. ALWAYS ASK FOR REFERRALS!

The recent meetings were a great motivator for Tony, “I felt a strong rejuvenation after I attended the meetings. The colored EMC’s are easy to sell and very beneficial to our customers.”

St. Louis Road Warriors

Since the Indianapolis meeting, things have moved into fast forward. Lloyd McCuistion placed the Region’s first ISLED-60C and the first Money Magnet sign on separate contracts. Many were quick to follow. It was a seven way tie for second, with Ron Gither, Tim McNeal, Brandon Gither, Seth McNeal, Ron English, Thomm Morgan and John McGowan scoring victories all within hours of each other.

A big congrats to Ron Gither and Tim McNeal. They both earned another Lance Sijan Award! Tim just started his 5th Sijan Award with a HAT TRICK! That’s three contracts in one day! The Dean Team gave remote car starters to Tim and Ron for their accomplishments.

They are also giving away remote starters for those cold winter days to the first dealers who write 10 contracts with the new products. The weekly runners up will win Ritz Carlton Brunches for themselves and their spouses.

Many thanks to, friend and dealer extraordinaire, RM Tony McGuire who has been helping the Road Warriors by taking out dealers and selling up a storm all across Missouri.

Everyone says that Tony’s work ethic and ability to get referrals is amazing. Many dealers have volunteered to give up a day of work just to watch Tony work. Jeff Dean says, “Watching another professional in this business work for a day will never cost you money.”

Jeff watched Tony work for two full days and said, “By watching another professional work, there is no end to how much we can learn. Subtle differences begin to emerge once we can detach from the preconceived ways in which we think things should be done.”
