RM Dennis Giacobe was out last week, following up on a web lead given to him from Home Office’s Stacey Neill. He was going through the brochure book with the business owner when the owner stopped Denny on the Baer Sports page and declared, “I know the Baer’s personally!”

Denny asked the owner if he was a betting man, to which he replied, “Of course!” Denny said, “Call the Baer’s and ask them where to buy a sign.” The owner called Diane Baer, hit the speakerphone and proceeded to listen as Diane raved about Denny Giacobe and Signtronix. After hanging up with Diane, the owner not only agreed to purchase two Model 48 custom panels, one Model 35 flush mounted sign, and one Model 28 marquee sign, but he said that Denny’s pricing came in LESS than the local sign company and that didn’t even include the Model 48 panels! Not only was this a great deal for Denny and the business owner, but what a great testimonial from Denny’s previous customer!

You can’t do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth.

Life can be as rich and as interesting as we want to make it. We can follow the same routine at work and at home or we can choose to add a sense of the new every day that will bring excitement, change and joy. Then we write the script to our own action-adventure story. We may not know how the story ends, but we’ll definitely enjoy the ride.

Step outside your comfort zone. For instance, if you’re hesitant to make one more call at the end of the day, just make a commitment to stay out one extra hour each day. Soon this will become a habit, and you will be making more calls, more lite-ups and more sales.

Look for ways to add “width and depth” to your life. Perhaps it’s widening your circle of friends or deepening your commitment to achieve your goals. No matter what you choose;your life will be richer for it.
“Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines.” ~Robert H. Schuller

With a smile on his face and a new outlook Seth ventured into a Boutique which was previously a Children’s Boutique. The customer had been selling High School Spirit wear but no one really new about it so Seth suggested an LED-40! The customer was ecstatic and even referred Seth and Sarah to their friend’s business. The second business was a Tanning Salon where the wife wanted to wait but her husband told her to buy it NOW! Another LED-40 is on its way and Seth was making his second trip to the bank today! Way to go Seth & Sarah!

Regional Manager Richard Houston field trained new dealers David Hillard and Roger Robertson really hard the week before Christmas. His efforts paid off this week with an Icebreaker for David who sold a set of Model 68 replacement panels to an Auto Sales business. David followed that up with a second sale of a set of Model 510 panels to an Antique Collectible Shop. Congratulations David. Richard is looking to see the same efforts by Roger as soon as he gets some family health problems out of the way. Richard, David and Roger have all committed to starting the Sijan quest in January. Richard will be going for lucky #12 on his Sijan Awards! Good luck and good skills gentlemen!

RM Joel Pelton’s San Antonio Gunslingers finished a great 2011 with a BIG bang led by Mr. Consistent, Daniel Reuter. He finished the year with FOUR nice contracts and had the FIRST Gunslinger contract of 2012. Daniel placed an ISLED-40 at an Islamic Gift Shop, a set of Model 28 panels to an Organics Store, a set of Model 48 panels at a Tattoo Removal Business, a SF Model 28 at a Tattoo Studio and a SF Model 36 at a Resale Shop.

Mike Durham found a great location for a SF Model 36. When told of the Main Street America pricing provided by TAP Rep Cynthia Valdez, the customer responded, “If you’ll help me up off the floor, I think we can do this!” Michael Petty placed a set of Model 68/188 panels with an old Gulf customer. Greg Sandoval rounded things out with a set of Model 48 panels at a Tattoo Studio and a DF Model 46 at a Barber Shop for the region’s final placement of the year.

Out with the old and in with the new. The Gunslingers are rolling into 2012 in style with lots of contracts under their holsters!

Rick Rossetti extends his CONGRATULAITONS to DM Bob Hollen on his promotion to the position of Regional Manager. Bob’s record speaks for itself. He has walked his talk and led his District to several #1 positions. Bob can always be found in the Top 5 if not the Top 3 in personal sales. Bob and Tammy will start their new region inLouisville,Kentucky on January 1, 2012. Bob’s goal is to recruit and train a “navy seal” team of high producing professionals. There is no doubt that he will accomplish that mission. Good skills, Bob and Tammy! Success is yours!

Rick also sends a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to RM Dave and Kathy Grosmann. The true mark of a leader is how many people they have recruited, trained and developed into leaders themselves. Dave has trained, coached, motivated, laughed, cried and celebrated many victories over the last 9 years with Bob. Kathy Grosmann has been a strong influence in creating the family that is the Indiana Timberwolves. Dave and Kathy created the positive environment in which people can grow and flourish. Rick says, “Thank you Dave and Kathy for being who you are! You’re the best!”

By Michael Wolff

This discussion is one I use with my dealers when they seem to want to give up on the Signtronix opportunity because they are struggling to get their Icebreaker or they got their Icebreaker and can’t seem to get the next location.

First, I make sure they are doing their work according to the Signtronix plan like knowing the presentation, using the 24 call sheet, pricing signs, talking to previous Signtronix customers and asking for referrals. If they appear to be doing all the right things and are still not having success,

I explain to them quitting should not be an option. I then tell them there is some good and bad news. The good news is there is a line in the sand that once it is crossed they will be on their way to success with Signtronix. The bad news is I can’t tell them where the line is. But, I can tell them that if they quit before they reach it, they will never know where it was or how close they were to crossing it. They could have given up 1” from crossing it or 1 mile from this success line in their sand, but they will never know. The purpose of this talk is to get the dealer to dig down and give a little more effort in their approach to Signtronix. If you know the Signtronix success is within reach, it is then all about mindset and determination. If you are up for a challenge, try challenging yourself to reach to higher heights.

RM Al Borgers is well on his way to earning his 3rd Sijan Award and the beautiful Sijan Pendant. So far he has written 4 contracts in 6 days and gotten all of his required lite-ups. Al is a force to reckon with when he has a specific goal and is on a journey. Lance P. Sijan would be proud. Also, on the Sijan trail are Richard Houston vying for his 12th Sijan, Seth McNeal going for his 5th and Craig Jarrett on his 4th. David Hilliard and Greg Haney are both looking for their 1st Sijan. If we have missed anyone who is currently on the Sijan quest, please let us know. Good luck and good skills gentlemen!
